Sadly, the discovered outcome is simply that the Coordination and Operations Committee for the War Crimes program didn’t do much coordinating. It met twice in March 2022 to discuss war crimes investigations related to Ukraine, and once in April. A planned meeting in May was cancelled. A meeting in June did not discuss Ukraine war crimes. There were no meetings in July, August or September (the planned September meeting was cancelled). There was a meeting in October, but none in November, December, 2022 or January 2023.

Meanwhile, we are in the dark about the work of the investigation into Ukraine war crimes drawn from information volunteered by Ukrainians who have fled to Canada.
I find that a shame. But I will keep digging.
Yes, this is a terrible shame! I hope that these survivors get to tell their stories, so that we can hold Putin and his ilk accountable for war crimes in Ukraine.
Give RCMP sensitive and international investigations a call. Don't talk to the comms deflector - speak with a senior investigator or team commander.
I assume there is a coordinated effort in Canada to collect and share witness evidence and other evidence of war crimes with the appropriate international bodies and authorities. And to initiate our own prosecutions here in Canada where applicable....
