Regarding the Globe story, I was struck by how often the word "leak" was repeated in the story. Funny that Fife has largely avoided the term when reporting intel from his own unauthorized sources....

I could not agree more. Well said.

Excellent detailed analysis of this situation.

Ahh - the intrigue, salacious exuberance by Fife. It seems where possible rich gossip exists, the hoards swarm - usually alt-media - which at times the G&M behaves as wannabes rather than disciplined journalists.

I'm always amazed at the number of commentaries writing for alt-media speculating in political fashion about this 'top-secret' world.

It's reassuring you actually do know the 'lay-o-the-land' and explain details for all to comprehend.

It's needed. Thanks.

Excellent piece, sir! I was dismayed at the level of partisan vitriol espoused in Fife's piece. I used to admire the man for breaking important stories, but now I am forced to rethink my take on the quality and veracity of his entire body of work. Very disappointing.

I admit that I kind of admire Drouin for at least coming clean. Let's face it as well...Canada has a problem with allowing groups to obtain charity status and therefore tax-free to fund-raise in Canada. The Liberals have allowed this although there have been concerns about the lack of follow up to support said status for years, perhaps decades. But nothing is done. So here we are with a Khalistan group taking matters into their own hands and really who can blame them, the Canadian authorities' are weak and basically just turn a blind eye. I'm fed up. Can a new Conservative government finally turn the page on this.....protect our borders and amend the immigration debacle? I think we need to modernize and amend our Canadian Constitution Act to better reflect needs of today rather than in the 1970-1980 years when it was legislated.
