Brendan Miller's persistent conspiracy theory
The Freedom Convoy legal counsel asks us to try on his tin hat
The legal counsel for the Freedom Convoy organizers, Brendan Miller, continues to dive deeply into a conspiracy theory regarding allegations that there was an agent provocateur placed among the crowd at the Ottawa protest. He tried this on the CSIS Director on November 21 and didn’t get the answer he wanted. The fact that the CSIS Director would neither confirm nor deny the identity of this individual or any other subject of a potential CSIS investigation (duh) was taken by Mr. Miller as a cover-up.
The actual exchange between Mr. Miller and the CSIS Director on November 21 is as follows:
MR. BRENDAN MILLER: And have you identified the individual, the one that is -- there was -- he was all over the news, the gentleman that was carrying the Nazi flag? Have you identified him yet?
MR. DAVID VIGNEAULT: Mr. Commissioner, as I said before, we -- the specific details of our investigation have been shared, you know, with the Commission earlier. I would not be able to go into more specific details.
MR. BRENDAN MILLER: Okay. So ---
COMMISSIONER ROULEAU: So I think that's it.
MR. BRENDAN MILLER: Right. Yeah.
COMMISSIONER ROULEAU: Thank you.
MR. BRENDAN MILLER: And I take it, and I take it then, sir, that you know that that individual was Brian Fox from Enterprise Canada.
MR. DAVID VIGNEAULT: I have not said anything in that respect, Counsel. I have not testified to that, Counsel.
MR. BRENDAN MILLER: Yeah, you haven't testified to it, but you know that to be true don't you?
COMMISSIONER ROULEAU: No, that's not fair, firstly, not a fair statement. So please -- and please don't... If you're going to make a statement please make it, don't make statements back to the crowd as you leave the podium please. As counsel you're well aware of the appropriate way to conduct yourself.
The alleged agent provocateur was photographed with a Nazi flag. The allegation further goes that the flag carrier was photographed by an individual who had previously served as a free-lance photographer to PM Paul Martin (that’s a while ago). You get the drift. This was a government covert information plot. Put on your tin hat, folks.
Mr. Miller, as the testimony record for November 21 indicates, claims that the flag carrier was an individual named Brian Fox, who is a principal at a public relations firm named Enterprise Canada.
Mr. Miller has, as of November 22, been served with a cease and desist letter from the law firm Blake, Cassels and Graydon, representing Enterprise Canada and Brian Fox, indicating that he will be served with a libel action.
You can read the letter here. It basically states that the claims made by Mr. Miller are false and “highly defamatory.”

The Commission is being very patient about this. But it is hardly a good use of the Commission’s time with witnesses, which is very limited. Mr. Miller was previously removed from the hearings today because of interjections he had made before the Commissioner. That doesn’t seem to have curbed his enthusiasm for advancing his theories in the guise of questions to witnesses.
His behaviour risks the standing of the Commission as a serious enterprise acting in the public interest. Such behaviour also risks corrupting the very idea of a public Commission of Inquiry.
There was much more to Brendan Miller’s persistence and had the writer been listening to the complaints of many other groups he would have found that very little sleep had been had by most of the lawyers not working for or with the Government of Canada. The federal Government of Canada was doing document dumps on all members of the inquiry the evening of or the day of the interview of the Government official. Most of those files had many redactions that were not subject to cabinet confidence as it did not include the cabinet nor was it with in cabinet meetings. It was thought to be an open and transparent inquiry to give the Federal Government the chance to explain to Canadian’s why they invoked the Emergency Act on their own citizens. Yes, Mr Miller did waste valuable time on something not worth pursuing but his intention were to expose the fact that the Federal Government aides had been communicating with media and were attempting to create a narrative about the convoy before it even arrived. In fact they did just that to which CBC falsely accused the convoy of many things that were the cause of the Emergency Act being put in, but were perpetuated by lies and purposely put out to the public. So perhaps you best go back and look at those documents while you can. This is why I have no faith in the media, the demonizing and divisive Liberal Government and people that spew even more false or ideological, biased writing. It’s not considered journalism as it is not investigative it making up suitable narrative that gives the public your opinion. That the media, the Liberal (Trudeau hired two story tellers) for a reason. Labeled as such to create narratives he wants chumps and people who know no better to spread his misinformation and disinformation around like it’s truth. Do your research. This is a pathetic excuse for someone who is suppose to be unbia
